Copperhill Mountain Lodge
Copperhill Mountain Lodge, a new mountain resort hotel i Åre, Sweden, opened December 8th 2008.
The site is stunning, perched on the tree line, high on the mountain and commanding magnificent views.
The American architect, Peter Bohlin (http://www.bcj.com), had a vision to create a place that many people could benefit from, constructing a fantastic building to interact with the fantastic surroundings.
Quartzite from Offerdal has been used both on the exterior and in the interior.
Take a look at the magnificent building. The stunning fireplace is over 20 meters high and made from Offerdal Quartzite.
